The fast and the furious cars

Cars in The fast and furious have become famous ever since the movie “The fast and the Furious” was introduced to the world in 2001.
The movie is based on an article about street racing using some Japanese cars late at night. Super exotic sports cars, bad boys, hot car babes…etc

is what most of the car lovers dreams of! There are a number of Japanese cars been use in this movie such as 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse, 1993 Mazda RX-7, 1995 Toyota Supra Turbo, and some famous muscle cars like 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS that also appear in later movie “Fast & Furious 4”.

This movie series was then introduced the second part in 2003 naming “2 Fast 2 Furious”. 2 fast 2 furious cars are slightly different with the part 1. After 3 years in 2006, the movie brought all the car lovers to Japan as “The fast and the furious tokyo drift” and introduces the racing technique “Drift” that invented by Kunimitsu Takahashi in the 1970s.

1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse

This green with blue air brush Mitsubishi Eclipse was first screaming around the car park lot at Dodger Stadium in the Movie. It was driven by the undercover cop Brian O’Connor (played by Paul Walker) that tries to sharpen his car racing skills. He was then feeling unsatisfied with the car power and this has leaded him to customize the car by installing a NOS (Nitrous Oxide System) to the car that eventually lead the car to death in the movie.

1993 Mazda RX-7

This is another famous Japanese sports cars that driven by Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) in the movie. This 1993 Mazda RX-7 features an assassin sound system and NOS bottles that secretly hide under the passenger seat without anyone knowing it. Dominic tries to lecture Brian what are “real racers” in the movie, but the subwoofer and the killer sound system equipment has make the car weight increase and bring down the car performance. The RX-7 is supposed to be able to go even faster than it was show in the movie.
1994 Acura Integra

This 1994 Integra was driven by Dominic’s sister, Mia Toretto (played by Jordana Brewster). She extremely shows her driving skills by shuttling around Los Angeles city. She has also try to prove the Toretto’s family driving skills.
1995 Toyota Supra Turbo

This Supra Turbo appears after Brian’s Mitsubishi Eclipse explodes. This car was then turn into a great monster-pimped out cars by Dominic’s crew and make it become a 10-second car. A very cool part about this car in the movie was it outraces a Ferrari F355 near to a beach.
1995 Volkswagen Jetta A3

The lowest vote among all the fast and furious cars. It was driven by Jesse in the movie and lost in his race. The car doesn’t really look cool even though the producer tried to modify it with blue-fire air brush to make it like a tricked out cars, but it still look like a normal 4 door sedan car that shouldn’t go into any car racing, isn’t?
1995 Honda Civic

Here comes the Honda Civic that becomes one of the Top 10 most fuel-efficient and reliable used cars in 2009. The Honda Civic is an inexpensive Japanese made car that easily modified to become a cool car with good racing performance. It was used by Dominic’s crew that tried to hijack big rigs.
1970 Dodge Charger R/T


Here come the muscle cars. The 1970 Dodge Charger appear first in the garage where Dominic trying to rebuild it with powerful, high torque engine that even himself said he afraid to drive it. This car could anytime twist and make a donut tires print on the road when you rev it. When Dominic drives this car to chase the killer, do you the air intake on the hood turning? Well, that is the fake blower and it just try to look cool in the movie, it just a cosmetic installation in real life car racing. This car was then spins few rounds and crashed in the end of the movie. Try to check out any muscle cars for sale around your area, if you are lucky you may get this Dodge.
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Dominic pick up this hot rod at Mexico after he drives off in Brian’s Toyota Supra Turbo. This car has made a big come back in the fast and furious 4 cars but it has apparently just appear for few second in the movie among all fast and furious cars.
